UK-based Cunning Running Software is following up its successful SAM-PRAS (surface to air missile position ranking and analysis software) counter-MANPADS software with a new application, RAM-PRAS.

SAM-PRAS helps police and force protection personnel to focus on the most likely locations where missile attacks might be made on aircraft with MANPADS. It is in service at major airports in the UK, US and Australia, as well as with the RAF Regiment and Australian Department of Defence.

Feedback from users of SAM-PRAS highlighted a need to analyse threats from other direct and indirect fire weapons, as well as to consider a wider set of potential targets. RAM-PRAS (rocket and mortar position ranking and analysis software) has been developed to meet this need and is being launched at the show.
